This course is suitable for personnel who require basic information with regard
to scaffold inspection, alternatively it is also beneficial for those who wish
to update their knowledge.
Personnel attending this course, should be actively involved in the inspection
of scaffolding.
Aims
To emphasise to delegates the employer's statutory obligation to have competent
persons to inspect and then complete reports on scaffolds in the workplace. To
give delegates practice at inspecting scaffolds and completing inspection reports.
Objectives
At the end of the course delegates will be able to:-
1. understand the requirements of the legislation
applicable to scaffolding and the employer's duties and responsibilities.
2. understand the basic scaffolding components and
the principles of safe systems of work during erection and dismantling.
3. carrying out inspections of scaffold including
fault finding.
