CDM Co-Ordinator Services

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 place duties on clients to ensure that competent persons are employed on construction projects.

Whilst predominantly focused on the construction industry, it does in fact apply to a number of sectors and in real terms if you are carrying out any of the following activities you may fall under the requirements of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations.
Demolition and dismantling Building Demolition and dismantling Building
Associated preparations, cleaning, maintenance Associated preparations, cleaning, maintenance
Exploratory work in preparation for construction, including investigation work Exploratory work in preparation for construction, including investigation work
Construction of temporary structures used during construction work (formwork, scaffold etc.) Construction of temporary structures used during construction work (formwork, scaffold etc.)
Civil engineering or engineering construction work Civil engineering or engineering construction work
Installation, commissioning, decommissioning or dismantling of any fixed plant Installation, commissioning, decommissioning or dismantling of any fixed plant

In an ideal world it would be simple to say that if you were carrying out one of the above activities then CDM would apply, however this may not be the case, as other criteria need to be applied in the majority of cases.
