CIEH Level 3 Supervising Health & Safety in the Workplace

The requirement for good health and safety practices in the workplace is enshrined in law but as importantly is a responsibility shared by all. Business owners and managers must ensure that policies and procedures are in place to protect not only workers but also visitors to the premises.

"Supervising health and safety" combines a relevant training programme with a radically new and accessible training protocol. The examination can be taken immediately at the end of the course as a traditional pencil and paper test or at an authorised testing centre. The latter option also provides the opportunity of instant results and feedback.

Who is the Course For?

This *level 3* qualification is designed for team leaders, supervisors and also anyone who needs a broad understanding of health and safety issues. There are no pre-requisites for entry to the course, however attendance at a "Basic Health & Safety" course (level 1 qualification) would be beneficial.

Aims

On-site investigation To provide understanding of the main concepts of health and safety.
Taking of witness statements To promote the benefits of a health and safety culture.
Gathering of evidence, measurements, photographs To clarify the roles and responsibilities of individuals, supervisors and *management in health and safety.
Collation of supporting documentation To provide an understanding of health and safety control and improvement strategies available to supervisors.

Course Duration

4 days (8 hours) 0900-1700 (Day 4 is for a half day revision and exam to conclude the course)

Candidates will also need to attend an authorised on-line testing centre or complete the 2 hour written examination which is arranged upon completion of the course.
