CIEH Level 2 – Hygiene Awareness
This course is specifically designed to provide basic knowledge for anyone who works in a health and/ or social care setting to prevent the spread of infection.
Description
On completion of the training successful candidates understand:
- The principles of good hygiene, thus ensuring that patients and clients are treated in a safe and clean environment.
Course Objectives
The qualification provides an introduction to hygiene awareness and focuses on three key areas;
- Hygiene hazards
- Personal hygiene
- Cleaning
Certification
One 15-MCQ examination paper.
Candidates who gain a CIEH level 2 award in Hygiene Awareness, need only to sit a 15-MCQ examination paper and attain a pass mark to achieve the level 2 award in Health & Safety in Health & Social Care.
On successful completion of the course and final written assessments, the candidate will receive a certificate from the awarding body. This is valid for 3 years.
