Managing Fire Safety

This course has been designed specifically for those personnel who require a more detailed understanding of the legal requirements surrounding fire safety in the workplace. It is suitable for Business Owners, Managers and other Supervisory Personnel.

Course Aims

To provide participants with an understanding of the legal requirements surround fire safety in the workplace with particular emphasis placed on the conducting of fire risk assessments as required by the Fire Regulatory Reform Order 2005.

Course Objectives

On completion of the training successful candidates should be able to:

  • Identify and apply the primary legislation
  • Understand the nature of the fire and how it spreads.
  • Conduct a fire risk assessment
  • Devise a fire safety management system
  • Distinguish between different types of extinguishers and their correct applications.
  • Tackle small fires with confidence.
